Education Essentials Proper education
is the cornerstone of safe diving. Team Nautilus is dedicated to preserving this ideal. All divers, regardless of certification level, must complete the Nautilus training prior to owning or
operating the Nautilus CCR. The comprehensive system is designed to optimize our students’ time without sacrificing the quality of their education.

Phase One The first phase of the
training program focuses on academics. This portion of the class is completed in the comfort of the student’s own home. The key to Phase One is the Nautilus student package. The student
package includes a manual, training video, and workbook. This multimedia system is designed to prepare the student for the applied knowledge portion of the course. Phase One does not have a
fixed duration of time. Students are encouraged to study and review the material until they have mastered the self-examination provided in the workbook. Phase One must be completed before
actual class dates are scheduled. Payment for Phase Two is made at the time the class is scheduled.

Phase Two In Phase Two, students pack
their bags for sunny Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The Nautilus training center is located near the heart of downtown Cabo. The facility has been specifically designed for the needs of Nautilus
divers.

On day one, students
will report to the training facility at
8:00 AM. After introductions, the
first order of business is an assessment
of the information each student has
retained from phase one. It is the
student's responsibility to be
thoroughly prepared for this
examination. Each student's score
will have a direct effect on how the
class proceeds.
Once the examination
is complete, the certification process
will commence. Over the course of
the next four days, students will
progress through a variety of exercises
and simulations both above and below the
water. The following outline is a
general view of a Nautilus CCR class
taken at the Cabo San Lucas facility.
Class duration is directly affected by
student performance and logistical
considerations.
